Happy Birthday Singapore...

Singaporeans should be very proud celebrating the nations birthday today! The joyous moments of watching the NDP and rushing through the goodie bag is remarkable... Most importantly, this is the season where i can get a lot of holidays for me to catch up wif studies and get a goooooood rest! haha :P

Though it is never new for Singaporeans to blame the government for the rising price of commodities and utilities we always compete for the ndp tickets so as to celebrate our Nations birthday as one. At times, this can influence people to sell the tickets at a very high price especially on online sites such as e-bay. Certainly, it shows how desperate some people can be in watching the show and how self-centered others can be... (those selling the tickets for a very high price and those getting the tickets again and again)
I personally feel that those who have already seen the parade more than enough times should stop applying for the tickets and give others a chance. there are many people out there who are disappointed very year.. lets give them a chance k? i know u will oz u r Singaporeans

Now, it is my duty to appreciate the Singapore government - PAP for moulding Singaporeans to be more ethical, practical, and courteous. Singapore is very famous for holding campaigns whenever it wants to implement something or instill some values in its people.. for e.g. encouraging people to give up seats in public transport, ensuring that the people do not litter, preventing people for growing plants, teaching people to smile more, encouraging people to change the water for plants regularly, etc... these are some of the things the government has taught us through the aid of mass media... Thankfully, Singaporeans have always been very co-operative in following whatever the govt says and hence, Sg has turned to be a more thoughtful and less self-centered place to live in.. so Kudos to all =)

I pray for Singapore's continuous success in whatever it does to be long-lasting and i also wish that it lives with peace, prosperity and harmony...
This is my home...our Singapore!
