POOR CHILDREN...:(

Hundreds of children, most between the ages of 9 and 16, were sold to factories
in the southern province of Guangdong over the past five years to work as
virtual slave laborers.
children were "sold like cabbages" by their parents
to gangs who in turn sold them off to employment agencies or directly to
factories hundreds of miles from their homes.
The victims were forced to work almost around the clock, beaten, and deprived of pay, nourishment and basic medical care. children from Liangshan earned about as little as 30 cents an hour and were forced to work long hours. One girl named Luo Siqi from Liangshan said she made 50 cents an hour and initially claimed she had come to Dongguan on her own.
When told by police that the money she thought she was sending home
could not have reached her family, she broke down in tears."My father and mother
sold me, I don't want to go back," Luo was quoted as saying.

Poor childrens... in the mist of development i think China has been neglecting its people nad their needs ezpecially the young! it is only when they take care of this young population by feeding them with good education and knowledge that these kids wld grow up and develop the country further! well atleast it is the basic right of every human being to chose to do what he wants... it is certainly unfair for them to be sold by their parents to other...what a selfish parent... so are we now suppose to blame the country or the parents or the companies??? shldnt the companies be aware of the law against using child labour? Moreover most of the companies are MNCs...This has clearly provened that MNCs has no consideration over naything except for money! Wonder how money will ever get you closer to heaven and god... Nevertheless, this is just my personal view feel free to comment abt it!
